 all Hot Shots!!!!!!\n\nThis weekend is always one of our most popular even
 ts of the year. It’s our Special Olympic Charity weekend and we have a t
 ournament and level for every player. In the sand\, we have a 4’s rec. a
 nd int. tournament check in at 9:30 am. Also check in at 8:30am is a Men
 ’s and Women’s Hard court tournament. To wrap up the day\, we have a 3
 ’s Int. and ADV tournament check in at 4:30. It’s going to be a busy 
 day\, so clear your calendars and plan on a whole lot of volleyball!!! The
  Nova Fee is not required for this event.\n\nSpecial Olympics is an intern
 ational organization that changes lives by promoting understanding\, accep
 tance and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilit
 ies. Special Olympics has created a model community that celebrates people
 ’s diverse gifts. Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver\, Special Ol
 ympics provides people with intellectual disabilities continuing opportuni
 ties to realize their potential\, develop physical fitness\, demonstrate c
 ourage and experience joy and friendship. Our founder\, Dorothy Buehring P
 hillips\, established the Special Olympics New York program in 1969. That 
 same year\, New York sent a delegation of athletes and coaches to the Nort
 heast Regional Special Olympics competition in Boston\, Massachusetts. Spe
 cial Olympics New York was fully incorporated in 1970 and Phillips was app
 ointed the first State Director. In June\, 1970\, the first State Summer G
 ames were held in Rochester.\n\nToday\, Special Olympics New York (SONY) i
 s the largest program in the United States and the nearly the largest prog
 ram in the world. Our headquarters are located in Schenectady\, with offic
 es in the Long Island\, New York City\, Hudson Valley\, Capital\, Central\
 , Genesee and Western Regions.\n\n&nbsp\;
