6/26 Lollypalooza update.
With phase 4 coming into effect and updated guidelines being put into place every week. NOVA will be revising our playing format to give Lollypalooza its best chance of running under local government guidelines. We will be making this tournament a 2 day event to ensure that NOVA stays within every government detail. Saturday, we will be running the following divisions: Open, Recreation, and Juniors. Sunday will be Women’s and both intermediate divisions. The decision to split divisions in this way was based solely on past years numbers to keep under capacity limits. We hope that everyone understands. We will open registration when we receive the o.k. from local government bodies in addition to our permit from Monroe County.
LollyPalooza 2020 is here! That is right! What better way to celebrate such a great charitable event than playing volleyball to support Lollypop Farm and all the animals in need. As of right now this day will be run as normal. Check in will begin at 8a.m. and everything will start by 9a.m. Food will be included per normal. If we do have a capacity limitation with the CDC guidelines, we will have Advanced and recreation playing Saturday and Womens and Intermediate playing on Sunday. In addition, NOVA has a number of our own procedures that will be put in place to keep everyone safe. All teams will be refunded if the tournament is cancelled. NOVA reserves the right to move any team up who we believe is too high of a level at which they registered. AKA Sandbagging! You will be notified as soon as Big Rog looks at the pools. There are Advanced, Upper Intermediate, Lower intermediate, Women’s, Recreation, and Juniors divisions. The NOVA Fee is not required at this event.
