I can’t believe June is almost over already!! We just don’t get a long enough summer, no hurricanes or earthquakes, but such a short summer. This weekend or the “Darien Lake Open” will definitely have something for everyone, from the seasoned gray haired veteran like CJ, or the newbie off the street with two left feet (rhyme not intended, but in good taste). Let’s break it down, Saturday morning gets it going, we have an advanced and intermediate 2’s with a men’s and women’s division, as well as a Recreational coed 4’s tourney!! This is a good weekend to see how real beach volleyball is played, whether you’ve been playing for 20 years or 20 minutes. Check in for both will be at 8:30 am. If you are new to the beach scene, check in takes place right on the boardwalk; just listen for beats coming from the beach. Now as for Sunday, kicking it with an advanced and intermediate coed 2’s tourney! Running alongside the adults we will be running a juniors boys and girls 2’s tourney. Check in for those will be at 8:30 am as well. Early Registration by Wednesday at 11:59 pm for Jr’s is $20, Intermediate is $25, and Advanced is $30. Registration by Friday at 12 pm (Online Registration Closes) for Jrs is $22.50 Intermediate is $27.50, and Advance is $32.50. Day of registration for Jrs is $25, Intermediate is $30.00, and Advanced is $35.00. As always your $20 annual NOVA fee is required, and you can take care of that the morning of the tourney – includes an event t-shirt!. Now just a reminder, this tourney is not at Darien Lake, it is at our own lovely Charlotte beach!
